We were recently on a short family vacation for three days in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland.

Our main reason for coming here was to let our daughters swim in the pool. Kazimierz has beautiful architecture and is located near the Vistula River, making for a nice setting.

It used to be a prosperous city due to the trade in grain, but it is now a popular tourist destination, known for its Renaissance urban plan and appearance.

Many painters come to Kazimierz to sell their art, making it an art center in Poland. The town also has a rich Jewish history, with a small Jewish community present since the 14th century. Sadly, during World War II, the Germans invaded the town and established a ghetto, resulting in the death of most of the Jewish population. Today, the town honors its Jewish past with a memorial wall made of tombstones from the local Jewish cemetery.

Despite its tragic history, Kazimierz Dolny is now known for its Two Riversides Film and Art Festival, bringing in film lovers from all over the world.

That is a very nice looking place to stay! I appreciate reading a bit about the history too, sad though it is. Your part of the world is so rarely on display for those in the States. It's cool to see these things! Thank you!
